a chinese tv show that my friend lent to me for christmas break and january called "rush year 1937" - about underground networks in shanghai right before the japanese invasion. very compelling series, though i think part of it is trying to create an outlet for chinese dislike of the japanese government right now (and pretty much any other time, really).
link: [link] (in simp. chinese though) the guy in front with the cigarette is one of the main characters - at some points along the series he's an antagonist, sometimes a protagonist - and the 2 guys constitute his posse. the woman is his lover. |
