This is the first time that I have known of when CanLit has inspired anime. If anyone else knows of other instances, let me know.
I read Dionne Brand's novel What We All Long For as a part of a 4th year Canadian Literature course. It was pretty good, but not something that makes me want to put my head in a blender for. Strong characters, though. [link] <--link to publisher information about the novel. (it looks like they're living in a basement, but in the novel they aren't living in a basement.) |
